Rusty Egan Blitzed Mix Feb 2021

Rusty Egan Blitzed Mix Feb 2021

Chart positions

This show was 33rd in the global electronica chart.

Blitzed Sky Arts March 13th Cofounder and Blitz Club DJ Rusty Egan picks some classics from the playlists and tries to capture the energy of a night on the dancefloor at The Blitz including Spandau Ballet Ultravox Visage who would have the demos or the white labels played for the first time to all our mates. Outside it was 1979 and to be LGBTQ or just a punk or anything different was not welcome The Blitz Club was an oasis for some wonderful people and the music was inspirational to most who went on to make the 80's a wonderful time. On the forthcoming BLITZED OST and my own music I have got to work with Boy George Tony Hadley Steve Norman Midge Ure Marco Pirroni Ronny B-Movie Peter Hook as well as some wonderful young artists who would be played in my sets if this was 1979. If you LOVE this mix please like love share and dance like it's 1980.

Rusty, this mix alone makes my subscription worthwhile. THANK YOU! I was singing & dancing in the kitchen, memories of Domino Club in Toronto dancing in my head. Then I heard Mix 2X - pure bliss! 🖤🖤🖤

Excellent! What's the track that segues into Throbbing Gristle?

Amazing mix

Great mix yet again Rusty!! The Human League - Love Action, that is a slightly new mix to me, the bass line is different! Any details?

Thanks Rusty. Absolute Classic Tracks. Oh how I wish I lived in London in the early 80’s.

Some absolute classics and rare gems.. and masterful crossfades .. can't wait for Blitzed ! Just have to work out how I can see it down here in Australia

Thank you so much. So good to hear the Lori & Yoko tracks included (still waiting for some of the dub reggae that used to be played to be included in a "Blitz soundtrack" ). And so good to hear Sylvester/Crowley - clubbing in Brighton from the early 80s it is always a track that will make me throw a few shapes. A slight correction to the playlist though as track 18 is from the "Warriors" album by Rinder and Lewis (as I'm sure you and most others know)
