How to Remove a Fish Hook...

Here's your outdoor tip on removing a fishing hook.
 Fishing hooks and fish make a natural combination leading to enjoying the outdoors--and sometime a great meal.  Fishing hooks and people do not always make such a good combination, however.  Many people say the only fishing injury more frequent that getting a hook embedded somewhere in your body is a severe sun burn.

 Snagging a fish is not a problem, but snagging a finger, hand, arm or leg can be painful and sometime a serious problem especially when that hook is close to a body part such as an eye.  But most fishhooks can be removed without surgery and with a minimal amount of pain.

 So what do you do when you or someone you are with gets caught by an unwanted hook?

 1.  Assess the surroundings if you are onsite where the hooking took place.  Make sure that no one else is in danger of being snagged by a stray hook.  And immediately cut the line on the hook th
