The Over-Do

I got a call one day asking if I would play a day party with all of my favorite DJs in middle Georgia. Of course I said yes before the question was even done. I don't too often play live anymore, but this was going to be WAAAAAY worth coming out of my shell.

I was as excited about this show as little kids are about Christmas day. I thought about it all week leading up to it. I planned out a killer set. I went over it again and again. The night before the event I couldn't sleep. The day of the show, I was up early and walked through my set one more time.

I don't want to embarrass myself in front of these guys. Two of the DJs are world travelling and all the rest could easily be top dogs in their style in any city with a strong DJ nightlife.

When my turn comes, the unthinkable happens. My computer begins to act belligerent. I didn't make it half way through my 30 minute set before I had to quit.

This is the set that should have been that day.
