Dope opening tune.
I have been listening to that one for a couple of years on Soundcloud. I had been waiting on the day when it would get a release so I could buy it. One day, it was there on Bandcamp and they had even pressed it to a 7" single. I was really excited to include that in a mix finally. Such a killer tune.
Perfect vibe for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Hope Michael Kiwanuka gets more recognition here in the States. Love his music.
Thanks! And you are right Kiwanuka is an amazing artist. I was on the fence about what I thought about this new album. I thought maybe it was a bit overproduced for what I was used to from him. After a couple of listens, I thought he pulled it off though. The more I listened the more I thought it reminded me of Morricone's spaghetti western soundtracks. I like it.
