After Hours

Recently I was talking with an old friend about my mixes when she mentioned that she still had a copy of the first mix I did as DJ Roger Riddle. In fact, she had two copies.
I asked if I could borrow a copy since I no longer had a high quality copy of the mix.

This mix came about at a very important time in my life. I was still new to the state of Georgia. I had been living here for about 4 years (now I've been here for about 17 years). I had decided I hated my choice of career and I was going to give up my database programming work to become of all things, a DJ. I was trying to figure out how to make my passion for record collecting work for me.

I closed myself up in my room and I came out with this mix, then I started handing out copies of it. It was the first mile of a long, wild ride.

"After Hours" could also be "After Ours" as it was meant to describe what happens after a close relationship comes to an end.
