Lawrence

A selection of tracks by the incomparable Lawrence Hayward, over the course of his (currently) 40+ years of music-making. Felt - his band in the 80s - is one of the greatest kept secrets of British songwriting. Denim - in the 90s - has an amazing retro 70s throwback sound and were taken on tour with Pulp where Lawrence and Jarvis struck up a strong friendship (and sadly, were Denim could have been the forerunners of the britpop movement but were just too ahead of their time). And 00s up until present moment is Go-Kart Mozart - a more synth pop take on Lawrence's inimitable writing style. Something really unique and special about all these songs - all coming from the same person but through such different invocations. One of the truly greatest artists of our time.
