Any satellite that follows a geosynchronous orbit will always display the same features to its viewers on Earth. This is achieved only if the satellite's rotational period is identical to the Earth's. A seemingly beautiful concept, the harmony of two within an endless universe… but this is why The Moon has a dark side. This is how secrets are kept. From this motion the satellite can trace a figure upon the celestial sphere, but with only the weakest interacting force between them, the bond is tragically finite.
Imagine, in another space, or another time, that the satellite could fall into orbit within the equatorial plane of Earth. Imagine the ecstasy of something constant in the sky, like some sort of tangible geostationary faith. I would have to sacrifice all eccentricity, but you would never cast me away.
