Baggage
Have you ever lost baggage when you were traveling somewhere? I have! And it can be incredibly difficult to replace! But you know, on God’s airplane, losing our baggage actually frees us to fly into new spots.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you… plans for welfare, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”. Nowhere in these plans does it say, “I want you to continue feeling guilty over your baggage from the past.” God just doesn’t work like that.
God knows all of our pasts; He knows about our sin, our feelings, our thoughts… but once we believe in the Son of God and receive the Lord Jesus into our hearts, when we confess our sins, God forgives us. God heals us. God provides us with a new life.
So, wherever you are today, with whatever baggage, or struggles, or guilt you’re carrying, I encourage you to give it up to Jesus. If you haven’t already done so, pray and confess what you did wrong to Him, and accept His free gift of salvation.
