The last time I can remember really getting into mixing was over 11 years ago, just before my first-born's arrival.
Last Xmas, family bestowed upon us a generous cash gift, with a directive to spend as we saw fit. I used part of it to buy a DJ controller, and chose one that leveraged as much as I could from my existing possessions.
Two months later, I felt comfortable enough to compose a mix from tracks I had been curating since that purchase.
