May 2018 Mix by Sazali Hassan

Sazali Hassan is 1/3 of Resonance - a monthly night a fono dedicated to other kind of electronic music. The recluse DJ/producer is also the main songwriter for experimental outfit Another Universe with drum machine, synthesisers, and various guitar effect pedals as his weapon of choice. His debut mix for Public School starts slow and climbs up the tempo steadily, a reflection on how he like his live and DJ set to be. From his own productions to not-quite-there dance-y tunes, and footwork to hip hop, Sazali is influenced by huge array of sounds, especially the ones with odd time signature and super deep low-end frequencies.
