The concept of the ego is fundamental to vedantic philosophy. But it is also immensely misunderstood. A small musing on what is ego or Ahamkara, how it manifests, and the ways of overcoming it. There is nothing ingenious about this talk. This is the most ancient wisdom, and whatever has been spoken has been drawn from the explanations given by Swami in various discourses.

Please spell out the mantra swami says we should say at 01:10:15
"Sayeeshwaraarpanam Astu"
But it is not about the mantra. Even if we say wholeheartedly, "Swami I offer this at your feet", it is enough. It is more about the attitude of offering everything at Swami's feet, that which gives pride as well as that which makes us feel inferior.
