Birkenthot was born in the swampy basements of Te Whanganui-a-Tara during the first covid lockdown. They are an average music and gig enjoyer and part of the Third Eye Hi-Fi sound-system crew. Not content with messing with one genre they blend silky wubs with sexy, eclectic genre bending, textural drums and weighty basslines.
This mix is a high energy, drum heavy journey through a glitchy experimental landscape of huge breaks, strange percussion and knee bending goodness. A love letter to all the weird dis-jointed electronic music currently obsessing me, hope you enjoy x
