Saturday, September 19th, 2020 - the Nile Rodgers show Pt. 2! I've been getting deep into the Nile Rodgers autobiography Le Freak, and it's fantastic! It's a brilliant snapshot of New York in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, with enough detail to jog my memory of living there, and inspire me to add a few new places to explore and walk amongst the ghosts of music history next time I'm there. Nile Rodgers has written, composed, produced, played (and been sampled on) some of the best music over the last five decades, and some of my all time favourite tracks. He's a true pop music superstar. Starting off with some late 60s and early 70s (non Nile Rodgers) tracks that have been playing in my head over the past week, today's show takes a wander through the music that Nile Rodgers has created over the first three decades of his career.
