Communication breakdown

I've noticed a serious and frightening breakdown in communication as a growing tendency all throughout the two thousands. As if it was a trend, and so a reason for the tendency, affecting all kind of communication from business to the most intimate. Whether it is a consequence of the technology we can't catch up with so we just let ourselves go with the flow without noticing that we lose all contact to reality and to each other, or if it's the start of something new where the human factor can still be involved somehow - only time can tell.
