A short steampunk story, part of Steampunktober here at Pocket Fiction. A Victorian inventor discovers that he has a secret admirer, and it's Death. But why is the End of All Things so interested in his work?It's tough to personify Death these days without leaking into either Terry Pratchett or Neil Gaiman; between them, they've done a pretty good job of giving Death a character!
