I believe this was my last purely vinyl mix recorded. As a result, you might note a warmer more organic sound to this recording - it makes me nostalgic. You notice it right away when the first track - Shower for an Hour by Noisia & Teebee - drops. It's easy to picture yourself in a pulsating room to that track. The vibe carries along a heavy big-room tech-step sound through most of the first half. Then the mix's mood shifts and quickly moves from funky, to energetic, to spiraling into 4X4 UK hardcore until it finally closes with on a junglist classic.
I fondly used to call this the 'VT' mix, because at the time when I was living in Vermont and traveling back and forth to Montreal, I somehow always felt this mix got me there faster because it always made me want to go faster... but that's dnb in general I think.
