So we've made it, and so have you. Zookeeper is responsible for the two slices of poetic bread in this unholy sandwich, starting with readings of poems, then the sandwich filling (keto, vegetarian) being 3 hours of music, for which you might need quite an appetite, or simply eat slowly; then the final piece of bread waiting on the plate, which consists of some Zookeeper poems-that-aren't-poems, called 'lyrics'.
I think you will know what I mean when I tell you snake prepared and arranged most of the music. You have to accept certain indelicacies; he means well. He got a bit overenthusiastic. The members of the zoo made a collective, feather-in-the-air decision to not let him rule over everything, consensus decision making and everything, monkeys waving their hands in agreement, and so we have Pelican. He or she (we still can't work it out) claims to have developed a taste for Bollywood rhythms + sounds on his recent trip, and that's what starts us off, alongside a couple of pop and alternative tunes found from the jungle by Monkeys #6 and #12. Boar adores the Jamaican entries of #11 and #12, it's the only beat that calms him down. Snake is responsible for the frequent jazz outbursts, he likes to bob up and down with a miniature beret on his head for company. One of them he loves so much he had to play twice, but I made sure they were different versions of Love in Outer Space by the Zoopriest, Sun Ra. Bear collaborated with DJ Stingray and they selected the choice dancefloor cuts towards the end.
All of us hear at the zoo, and all of us here at this crazy zoo wish you a merry, fun, silly, messy and very muddy 30th Deanaday Birth day-day-tridsiaty-day!
