A show devoted to The Calais Sessions (see tracklist for timings and segues)

The refugee camp in Calais, known as the 'jungle', is home to 6000 people who’ve fled war, persecution & economic hardship. Conditions are poor, there are hundreds of unaccompanied children and all of these people are far from home with little certainty for their future. Looking on from a far it’s easy to forget that many of these people had lives not so different from ours back home; this album shows that many of them are talented musicians.

Some seriously generous people went to the 'jungle’ to make music with them and the result is The Calais Sessions, an album which restores the basic human right of music-making and provides a means of raising money. Money raised from sales goes to the charity Citizens UK, working to reunite unaccompanied refugee children with family members in the UK and as donations to the refugee musicians playing on the album.
