I was going over my pictures to find my DJ story timeline and this took me Back in time to 2006/ 2007, when I had my first DJ Equipment, a NUMARK CDMIX 1. It was the first ever my own DJ-like player and I remember the CUE and PLAY buttons had so much delay in the response that you had to press them a bit before to get the timing right or nudge the jog wheels back and forward to get the beatmatching with another channel.

I remember that my sister bought me this kit for Christmas, she and my mum were already in the UK, I was still in Poland, struggling in high school, and this was my most significant joyful moment at that time, owning my first ever dj player was no longer just a dream.

At that time I already had a deep connection with music, a couple of years of running school discos (from PC back then - and my first experience with Traktor software) and sound engineering at the school events, and hours of DJ mixtapes and different tracks running through my head every single day.

With this Numark CD MIX 1 my journey of learning all the hands-on gear took every spare time I had.

After finishing high school I Took it with me when I moved to the UK in August 2007, and it began the journey of discovering different dj gear and working on my most loved craft.
