what I meant is that to me, some of the songs are closer to chillout/lounge music than what I presume you mean by glasperesque. I really like it though, I just think that Robert never got to this level of experimenting in music. as you mentioned, Glasperesque could be a new music genre or maybe a new path on merging different genres, because what most of us praise about Robert Glasper is his unique approach of mixing genres.
I don't think these tunes are very glasperesque, but it's still a nice mix.
Hi Andy - Interesting comment. Black Radio 2 had a more RnB feeling to it, what with tracks featuring Brandy, Faith Evans & Eric Roberson and that was what I was trying to bring....... Could it be that Glasperesque is starting to become a brand?
