Just having a listen to your mix now from the link you put on DJForums. What you using to mix, I personally am learning the old way on TT's and vinyl. My mixing method seems totally different to yours with the fact that I am gradual with themixes (and sometimes doesnt sound great lol) whilst yours seem to be more abrupt (not a criticism) are you beat mixing by ear or bringing in mixes through the breakdowns (again I'm asking not to criticise but out of interest and for ideas in my mixing which is getting better since I uploaded a couple of my rushed mixes)
Hi there i'm just starting off with a Numark Mixtrack Pro midi controller and traktor. I dont have the money to be buying CDJ's haha :P but i get what you mean by the transitions being very sudden like i'll start to bring in the next song usually about 32 beats before the breakdown or build up and about matching the beats up until about 3 weeks ago i just went off the software's visual aids to help me get the beat in line which i tried not to do most of the time cus it makes it easy but now since i've started to improve a good bit i minimize the software on the laptop and just go off matching by ear to try and develop my ear to know when its matched or not.
