One of the world's leading lutenists, Ben Salfield was born in Staffordshire in 1971 but has lived in Cornwall since he was a child.

He made his debut at St Ives in 1988, since when he has received critical acclaim and performed at major concert halls in most European capitals - in front of some of the largest audiences ever seen for renaissance music.
