Ozstranded podcast #182

The Fauves are a hidden gem of Australian independent music. Having played 1000s of shows since 1988 and mastering a potent blend of catchy alternative rock tunes with clever and at times cynical lyrics, the Fauves deserve far more accolades than their modest record sales have provided. The '15 Minutes To Rock' documentary following the band on the road from 1997 to 1999 is a wonderful snap shot of an uncertain period in their career when they were preparing their major label followup and feeling the strain of touring. You can hear a 5min segment of the film on the show!
