June 12th - Job Done-tsk

00:00

England stuck well and truly to the routine script yesterday - a nerve-jangling performance with the odd positive for fans to massage in to something resembling hope. Mere minutes after the final whistle in Donetsk, the pod reviewed Roy Hodgson’s first competitive directorial debut in England’s Group D opener against France.

Elsewhere, as the credits roll on the opening round of Euro 2012 group games we also skipped through all four groups with trademark vagueness. Notably we question whether Russian striker Alan Dzagoev can really be called Alan, champion an historic haircut from Sergio Ramos and discuss the household chores we got done whilst waiting for Mario Balotelli to take that shot against Spain.

All those dramatic narratives are wrapped up in the epic soundtrack of the pod intermittently live commentating on the remarkable resurrection of Andriy Shevchenko.
