Weirding Module 1

The weirding module is a machine in the 80s film version of the 60s sci fi novel; Dune. In the film the weirding module is a weapon that amplifies the properties of certain words so that they can literally harm or kill opponents. This mix layers poetry, storytelling, extended vocal technique, voice processing and experimental radio. It uses language, the word and the voice, not simply as signifier but as material, thus amplifying languages power and potential to be something other than just a container of meaning. "Weirding Module 1" was made especially for the Brzask party held on the dawn of each full moon in the sculpture garden in Królikarnia Palace, Warsaw.
