Colour

From the fluid textures of Impressionism to the hyper-rationalized structures of Serialism, the manipulation of sonic colour revolutionized musical form, geography, and spiritual expression. Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel show how French Impressionism established colour as a tool to evoke atmosphere and bypass traditional sonata form.
