Nerdy Frames and the genre dubstep have never been good bedfellows from the very beginning probably because it’s the preferred genre of choice for most up and coming DJs today to ease into instead of something like house. Now granted that House and the four on the floor can be tiresome and boring, Dubstep is to us an acquired taste coming from being trained to correspond to 4/4 beats.
Let’s extrapolate from the post we did about Dubstep that was happening here in Auckland. So do I still harbor the same resentment to the genre….a little.
My stance is very stanch at the moment and I seldom if any play the genre myself at gigs but that might change over the coming months.
Do I consider this me bowing down to the zombie masses and conforming to an otherwise saturated, over hyped and not well thought out genres of the 21 century? Well…once again a little.
