On tough days I like to unwind by playing records. Not mixing records necessarily (although you will hear plenty of that too), but just playing music I like to hear, purely for the sake of it. I had a tough day at work, my car is still broken, and my dog finished destroying my pair of speakers. I needed to relax.
Normally I don't record these sessions, but I thought I would also take the opportunity to test the recording features of Mixxx, an open-source Traktor clone I've been following for some time now. With the latest version released lately, I think I may switch over to using it: I think it's matured nicely over the past couple of years, and is now quite featureful and stable.
Anyway, enough of me geeking about. You'll recognize some of these tracks, I bet, but others I hope you discover for the first time, especially if you're a newer listener to the breakbeats and bass musical spectrum. I consider most of these tracks classics of their times.
