Elf

Elf is the rather humorous story of a human baby who grew up thinking he was an elf. He discovered the truth and went on an adventure to find his human father who lives in New York City. Buddy the elf’s story connects with a very real journey in all our our lives. We first need to ask, “Do I really know who I am?” Some of us grew up with an identify that is not our true self. We’ve been told by the world who we are - but God is the one who breathed life into us. Secondly, “Am I willing to go after this true identity?” It takes courage to leave what is comfortable and explore the new. Lastly, “When things get difficult, am I willing to stay?” There’s a natural tendency to slip back into our old ways but we need to be patient and give God the chance to do something new in us.
