Overconsumption Here We Go

I made this mix back in 2009 for my friends at Happy Robots records. I wanted to fit in as many of my friends as possible, sometimes in ludicrously short bursts - it's almost like a series of shout outs, glued together with voices and sound effects from old TV shows and brief flashes of avant-garde electronic music. Also, even though it only ever existed as an MP3 and the mixing was all done on Garageband, it had to fit on one side of a C90. (Actually, while you're listening, you might want to raise the volume a little around track 11, then you can probably lower it back again by track 48). All in all, I'd say this was fairly good representation of what I was listening to three years ago - and of the frenetic, channel-hopping mindset that seems to come with being online almost all the time.
