...as Saturday Soul clocks up six years with the 248th live show! You could probably add a zero to that for the number of different tracks that have winged their way to your ears in that time and achieving that feat, for the larger part, without resorting to the so called 'classics' is something I am very proud of. The inane drivel, the banter and dodgy sports reporting have been an integral part of the nonsense - I never said I was any good at this lark, lol! - but the important part has always been the chat room squatters and the 'outside' listener(s) and my gratitude goes out to all of you who have endured that and the technical issues such as bad cueing, live faders and the regular dead mic....40/45 years you'd at least thing I'd have an inkling of what I'm supposed to do? Two weeks holiday follows so that I can recharge the grey cells and I'll be back here on July 20th, loveage xx
