The New Bride

One of the powerful metaphors which the Apostle Paul uses for the Church is the one of a Bride for the Groom Jesus. As a 'metaphor' it describes our relationship with Jesus with His extravagant love and particular care. As a 'powerful metaphor' it assures us of our relationship with the Lord and His desire for us which allows us to move forward in becoming more holy and blameless. Based upon Ephesians 5:22-33 and Genesis 2:18-25, we will inspect and reflect upon God's love for us in His Son Jesus.
