DJ Jaffe is an ombudsman for the severely mentally ill. We are not talking about people who feel depressed and cop Prozac from the nearest MD. Here we talk about people that almost never get treatment, the severely mentally handicapped. Those unfortunates that wander our streets talking to themselves, believing they are someone or something else, bark at us like dogs and eat out of trash cans. DJ is in the business of trying to change policy and law so these people can get treatment rather than go to prison, which is where many of these people are "treated".
