As is usually the case, I was inspired to create this set based off of the opening track. Aptly titled "Happy Days," it is by far and away one of my favorite songs of this season. I particularly love how the lyrics pay homage to house music's genesis at the Warehouse in Chicago (remember, house music was originally created by gay people of color, not David Guetta 😏😂😉). However, even if you aren't a history buff this tune will send you because it's just "feel good" music. And it bears the qualities of a future classic that will hopefully trigger a flood of glee-filled memories whenever you hear it years from now. In other words, a perfect ode to the waning days of summer. I hope that it sparks joy in you as well.
