filling the void
filling the void is based on recordings of electromagnetic waves captured by scientific instruments in space. For scientific studies these sounds were processed and converted into sound we can hear. I translated these sounds into Midi and used the resulting notes and patterns as a new way to compose orchestral music. filling the void transposes sound and noise from the universe into music. The 13 tracks are a free and personal translation of the sound-waves captured in space. filling the void oscillates between classical and electronic music, jazz and experimental sound-collage.
