Field Notes - Vol. 4

In Field Notes Vol.4, Sara Zaltash is on the ferry boat Matilda to bring an in-situ feature from Vincent Gambini’s This Is Not A Magic Show, provoking some magic inspired music choices - and some poetry too. She visits DemoStage, a new kind of scratch night tried out for the 1st time at Mayfest this year, and reports on the producers’ gathering in which some difficult questions about who is responsible for diversity came up. Finally, she captures some audience responses to Deborah Pearson’s This Is Not a Magic Show, and reports on the excitement surrounding Jeremy Corbyn’s surprise presence in The Island yesterday.
