Caio Jazzcat, a faultless selection of some real Jazz Funk gems. Highlights for me "Throwdown" by Tom Browne (I had totally forgotten about this wonderful track which is sadly a far cry from some of the very forgettable and uninspiring material Tom has been doing lately). Jimmy McGriff and his "Tailgunner" a Jazz Funk meets Disco "tour de france" , The Crusaders' timeless "Sweet and Sour", Lonnie Liston Smith's "Space Princess" and Teena Marie's glorious "You Make Love Like Springtime" and icing on the the cake Pacific Jam (feat Flora Purim) "Antes Des Mais Nada" (all tracks are personal favourites and have been featured on recent shows of mine).
