As the trance phase started fading, I followed the path back towards house, but on a darker, deeper path.Thus became Mainframe. I remember digging through the bins, going back and forth to the store's one busted half ass turntable, waiting in line to listen, just to make sure I was getting the right tracks. The hipster employees never liked me because I was so picky. I would dismantle entire rows of used singles, desperate to find every track they had that might fit into this mix. I obsessed over this mix, which is why this live recording from 2004 is one of my personal favorites.
