On the subject of Billy, there is a wonderful CD only compilation produced by Joe Henry in 2005. Features then new recordings of Billy, Mavis, Ann Pebbles, Irma Thomas and Allen T. Was supposed to be first in series but I know of no more. Do you know it?. It's on Spotify. Cheers Paul
Produced by. Joe Henry? That's always worth a look - not heard of this one - cheers Paul
Thanks Mark. Billy's Encouraging Words album is indeed excellent. Great songs, and of course Donny Hathaway does an amazing version of Little Girl on his Donny Hathaway album. I have also always loved Billy's It's My Pleasure album too. Has George H, Stevie W, Syreeta Wright and Shuggie Otis on it and produced by Malcolm Cecil, and Robert Margouleff with Billy. Cheers Paul
