Trash rock, or possibly lunkhead rock'n'roll. Mainly 60's, some from the 50's. Not novelty songs exactly, but maybe nonsense songs. A number of excellent compilations came out in the 80s and 90s. I've realized most feature a saxophone. Some frat rock and R'n'B.
