In May 2022, Fiddler Mark Tamsula and banjoist/fifeist/flautist Richard Withers released Neighbors In The Cloud Land, their sixth album presenting tunes and songs from Southwestern Pennsylvania, drawing upon the tunes collected by Samuel Bayard from 1928-1963. On June 12, 2022, I had the privilege of chatting with Mark, Richard, guitarist Dave Krysty, and bassist Barb Rosner -- and the four of them played three selections from the album. It was a relaxed front-porch session and conversation -- just the way these tunes were meant to be heard! We are fortunate that these folks are choosing to present these heirlooms to the listening public.
