The New Sound

I was inspired by Ford & Lopatin's story behind their new album Channel Pressure, which follows the trials and tribulations of Joey Rogers as he tries to conquer 'The System' fighting robots and super computers.

You could say it's an off shoot story that follows Joey on his quest to find the 'The New Sound'. It straddles the analog world of the early eighties and digital world of the present, kinda like Marty McFly in Back To The Future. While on this quest he naturally has a love interest who comes in the form of Kelly.

The mix basically plays out his warped love for Kelly, which she simply won't except, which in turn infuriates him. Nevertheless he perseveres and the mix continues to follow how he deals with the mental challenges these obstacles present and the occasional emotional excursions abroad.

One thing you can be sure of is his quest for 'The New Sound' won't stop!!
