O2 Making Waves - The Chapters

O2 Making Waves - The Chapters

Avatar

Taking time out from being told you're the greatest thing since sliced bread
is no easy feat. But The Chapters, prompted by a relentless gigging schedule and the discovery
of Martin Scorcese's legendary rock documentary The Last Waltz, reached just such a point in
their musical development. They decided to enter a hibernation period, they ceased gigging and used
their newfound freedom to experiment a little. Where once the rehearsals were geared towards
impending gigs, now they were geared towards playing around with different sounds and ideas.
With a fresh perspective, The Chapters developed and honed a more pastoral, and at times dreamy,
rock sound that lies somewhere between the 'Americana' of acts such as The Band, Neil Young and
Wilco and the ambience of Pink Floyd. Check out this weeks O2 Making Waves to hear The Chapters
