O2 Making Waves - Hoarsebox

With four classically trained vocalists comprising Hoarsebox's four
band members, vocal acrobatics and riveting choral exchanges combined with happy infectious
instrumental interplay are the order of the day. In an era when it seems anybody with a
pretty face and a good management team can sell a record regardless of their vocal or
instrumental talents Hoarsebox are a refreshing antidote to any charlatans who offer
image before substance. With their upbeat take on life and music and their unyielding
energy and desire 'to get people moving their feet as they watch the band sweat' at their
live shows these boys deliver a sound that's not quite The Police, not quite Steely Dan,
and not quite Andy Williams but somewhere in between with dollops of ska and soul thrown
