O2 Making Waves - Evil Harrisons

Genre shifting Dundalk four piece Evil Harrisons found Dublin's clique driven
'band scene' tough to break into initially. But with time, hard work, and talent, not to mention
some mesmerisingly witty, amusing and insightful lyrics, any snotty nosed pretensions that may
have lingered with some of the more self important bands vanished when it became clear just
how entertaining these boys were. They've been described as 'indie-pop-jazz-funk' by one reviewer
and have influences ranging from the 'swing' movement of the 1920's through Ira Gershwin all
the way to Prince and the New York Dolls. Their musical trademarks are their exciting, sudden
and delicious turns of pace and the variety and energy with which they cram their songs.
