Chart positions
This show was 1st in the global electronic chart, 4th in the global ambient chart and 7th in the global chillout chart.
I've been going through old mixes that have never been put on Mixcloud. One of the mixes I dug up is Sequential Circuits, originally posted 12 years ago. It's a collection of sequencer based tracks. I decided to give it one little tweak and dropped two tracks and added a cut from Ash Ra Tempel.
My favorite tunes here are the Richard Pinhas tracks, "Sundial" from Steve Roach, and "Hyperborea" by Tangerine Dream. I've been rediscovering Hyperborea lately and I think it's one of my top three TD albums.

Have you listened to Mike Oldfield's instrumental albums? A lot of these remind me of his music. I rarely comment on mixes but I'm really connecting with this one. Thank you for sharing it!
I hadn't listened to Oldfield very much recently until your comment and one other mentioned him. So I've been revisiting my Oldfield collection, which is his first 6 or 7 albums. Thanks for listening and thanks for freminding me of the genius of Mike Oldfield. Cheers!
Absolutely loving this mix. Love a lot of your mixes but this one is cracking :)
:-)
That Richard Pinhas track with the guitar loop; sounds very much like Mike Oldfield's guitar on the album ,Hergest Ridge!
I haven't listened to Hergest Ridge in a long time. I'll have to correct that today. Thanks!
Interesting selection.. captivating .. hypnotising
:-)
Very, shall we say, oriental, decent though.
I never realized that, but you're right, it does have a bit of an Asian feel to it. Thanks for listening.
