I have been on a huge sequencer/Berlin-school bender for the last few months. I think it goes back to Paul's train mix back in May. Through that mix I found the music of Gert Blokzijl - https://gertblokzijl.bandcamp.com/. I gobbled up a number of his albums immediately. Then last month I discovered the music of Martin Stürtzer - https://phelios.bandcamp.com/ He's got a ton of stuff out there and it's all good. I'm not sure how I missed him until now, but I'm glad I found him.

While listening to all this music I just knew I had to create a mix full of sequencer or Berlin-school tracks. Most of the tunes are new with 5 of them from 2024, a few more from 2019 to 2022. And one golden oldie from 1983 by Edgar Froese. I really enjoyed putting this one together so look for another before the end of the year.

Thanks for tossing in the Edgar Froese piece, which I was not familiar with. To my surprise, it reminded me a lot of some of Deuter's work. I know you don't feature a lot of Deuter and perhaps find him less distinct, but I'm a big fan. I just never would have guessed how much he has been influenced by Froese and the Berlin school, although I think he's actually originally from Germany!

Thanks for checking out the mix. Froese has a couple of tunes in the style of the track in this mix and I love that vibe. I haven't listened to Deuter in forever so I should correct that and give him a spin soon. Cheers!

I like to listen to your sequencer mixes when I want to meditate or sleep. But, since Mixclown's latest update, I've been having MAJOR ISSUES with the phone app and can no longer listen where I go to sleep, so I'm way behind in getting to your latest. I'm at my office/dining room listening, love this one! The comments are lit, good suggestions.

I'm so glad you liked the mix! And yes, the suggestions are great. I'm sorry you're having difficulty with the app. I probably shouldn't say this here on Mixcloud but you can also get my stuff here - https://lowlightmixes.blogspot.com/ And here - https://lowlightmixes.podbean.com/ And here - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/low-light-mixes/id264952209

WOW! How cool, thank you. The DEI blue-hair children responsible for the lame Mixclown app can't/won't fix major issues. I was about to ditch them but something came up that may provide an opportunity to help get my own tunes exposure, so I'll be around for the time being. I hope you keep up the excellent work, you're the 'go-to' person for this genre.

You can find more suggestions about where to find more [current] sequencer music here: https://www.mixcloud.com/lowlight/more-train-tracks-by-paul-asbury-seaman/

You can also search here on Mixcloud for "Paul Asbury," as about one-third of my mixes are on a train theme and all of them use sequencer tracks. Happy hunting! And enjoy.

You've done epic work there. I always have music playing 24/7 and when I lie myself to rest, your train mixes are perfect for that meditative vibe that helps me empty my mind, focus on the rhythm and drift off. Thank you!
