It's hard to believe that in Wisconsin we had to wait until the second week of January before we finally got snow. And, of course, now we are going to get dumped on three times in a week. So I figured this is the perfect time for a snow themed mix.
There's not much to say except that the word "snow" is in every track in this mix and the vibe does go well with staying inside with some hot coco or coffee while watching the snow fall outside.

:this is amazing. I want that ripperton track at the start played at my funeral, one of the best tracks I have ever heard
So glad you enjoyed the mix! I'm now listening to that first track in a whole new light. Cheers!
Beautiful mix, thanks for sharing. Robin Guthrie and Harold Budd at 48 minutes was a beautiful surprise - that whole Mysterious Skin soundtrack is very moving, and your selection in particular.
I know what you mean about "Mysterious Skin," I hadn't listened to it in a long time and when that track came up in a search for "snow" songs I thought "Wow, this is amazing! I need to give this whole album a spin." Thanks for listening and commenting. Cheers!
I just want to note that your timing is perfect for this in the U.S. Many of us have been dealing with serious cold temperatures and snow for days now. Here in Portland, OR we had high winds, bitter cold (for us that means highs in the mid-teens, but we typically only get below freezing a week or two total in the winter), some snow, and lots of power failures.
I might have shared before, but here are some of the music that evokes winter for me:
Wendy Carlos "Winter" from Sonic Seasonings
John Luther Adams In the White Silence
Sylvan Grey Recurring Dream
Sylvan Grey Ice Flowers Melting
Don Campbell Crystal Meditations
Vangelis-Antarcrtica
I think Ethereal Ephemera is also good for winter mornings first thing.
Thanks for these mixes! I especially appreciate the ones that are themed, especially the seasonal ones.
I'm glad you like the seasonal mixes because I have another one coming tomorrow, Tuesday, for the freezing temps that followed our snowstorm. Thanks for checking in and sharing your winter tracks. Cheers!
Yet another excellent mix !
So glad you enjoyed the tunes!
I love the picture of your dog. Listening to the wonderful sounds of the first track makes me very sentimental, reminiscing our mix shepherd-cane corso who looked very much like your dog
Oh wow, I bet your shepherd-can corso mix must have been a big dog. My guy is about 60lbs. which is decent size but not a giant like our last dog who was about 105lbs. Thanks for checking out the mix and thanks especially for sharing about your doggo. Cheers!
Thanks. Where's yagya rhythm of snów then? :)
I love Rhythm of Snow but I've used in past "snow" mixes so I tried to avoid it for this one. Thanks for listening. Cheers!
Love your mixes Thanks for all of them. This one tho is particularly brilliant!
So glad that this one really connected with you. Thanks for listening and commenting. Cheers!
love this again!
Thanks for listening!
Wisconsinite here, can confirm! Currently getting hammered with snow, perfect mix for watching out my window.
Thanks for checking out the mix! Stay warm, now that temps are plummeting, and stay safe. Cheers!
Is that a stock photo? Or is that your dog in the cover photo?
That's my dog, Walter. He's Lab/Pit Bull/Boxer mix. About as goofy as they come.
Now that we've gotten a second and third round of snow, he wouldn't be able to sit in the same spot because the snow is up to his head. Ugh.
