Endless Ambient

Endless Ambient

Chart positions

This show was 1st in the global chill chart, 3rd in the global ambient chart and 3rd in the global chillout chart.

I've always been a fan of long form ambient.  It's goes all the way back to side-long cuts like Fripp & Eno's No Pussyfooting.  More recently the many full album cuts from Steve Roach.

This mix features a bunch of long tracks allowed to play for about 20 minutes or so.  So this ends up easily being the longest mix I've ever done at 5 hours and 30 minutes.

00:00 Alio Die - Ultima Latet
19:15 James Johnson & Stephen Phillips - Lost at Dunn's Lake
43:15 Disturbed Earth - Butterfly
58:15 Brian Eno - Neroli
1:11:15 Sonmi451 - Ruis
1:30:15 Steve Roack - Etheric Imprints
1:43:55 Aloof Proof - The Ghost Ship
2:03:20 Harold Budd - As Long As I Can Hold My Breath
2:27:30 Seaworthy - Sleep Paths
3:04:00 Robert Rich - Somnium
3:38:00 Jim Cole - Astral
3:55:25 Steve Roach - The Delicate Beyond
4:20:35 Alio Die - In The Labyrinth Garden
4:50:15 Brian Eno - Lux 4
5:03:45 Paul Vnuk - Silence Speaks In Shadows
5:31:52 end

Thanks for the thoughtful update, Low Light. I am using an android device and the MixCloud app to listen to these wonderful mixes. Recently I have noticed if I click on the Tracklist, i get a message the the Low Light Tracklist is only available to Select members, and to Click Learn More to find out more. This opens another screen page about subscribing to select mixes, no means to click through to subscribe. It is rather confusing and adds no pleasure to the process of enjoyment in listening. However, simply showing the artist name does add a level of enjoyment in the knowledge of who they are so they can be supported directly by seeking g out their music. My only point is that if a musician's music can be streamed it should be required to see who the creator of the music is. Thank you for providing the artists list that you have curated for our listening pleasure. It is truly appreciated!

This is a great playlist but without the artists being listed we can't support them. Can this list be posted here in the comments so we can properly support and appreciate these fine artists?

Love the long play format of this list. All the tracks were properly identified except the last track. Anyone recognize the artist? I learned of a few new artist that I'll dive deeper into. Thanks.

Hi Jp - Check the description for the tracklisting. I'm not sure if the whole description shows up in the app on a phone. But on a mac or PC desktop the full description is visible and has the tracklist. The last track is "Silence Speaks In Shadows" by Paul Vnuk.
