I read a sci-fi novel in which some of the main characters were sentient robots. When two of them meet they establish secure channels with dialog such as "I am Paladin. You are unknown. Here comes my data...…that is the end of my data." For some reason the line "Here comes my data" stuck with me.
I immediately wrote it down as a possible title for a mix. I thought it would fit well with a slightly more upbeat electronic mix. And so this mix was born, or more like artificially grown in a lab.
The mix starts with a track from Saul Stokes. I haven't listen to Stokes in years but when I stumbled on his album "Local Crowd," I knew I had to include it. He still has a unique sound which comes from, I believe, the fact that most of his synths are built from scratch.
The rest of the mix a a nice combo of new music with some older tracks, some from as far back as 1987.
Tracklist is in the comments.
Cheers!

I got curious. What novel was that from? It seems to be "Autonomous" by Annalee Newitz? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/28209634-autonomous
Yep, that was it! It was pretty good, not great, but worth reading. When I started the post I thought the line was from The Murderbot Diaries but when I checked I found it was Autonomous. Murderbot Diaries is a fantastic collection of short novels which I listened to on Audible with a perfect read by the narrator.
Wonderful mix - lots of great stuff I'd never heard beforeI Also like the story of how you were inspired to put this one together.
Thanks for checking out the mix! I'm glad you discovered some new artists. Cheers!
